International Study Program

The 2009 International Study Program (ISP) was always going to be different from other years.  The introduction of two new tour directors, Mr Jean Pierre Fenech (Finance) and Dr Jacqueline Birt (Accounting) were the beginnings of this new look program.  Also part of the new ISP program is a lecture series to be held at Monash University's Centre in Prato, Italy, adding to the international educational experience.  Lectures will be held by discipline to revise material and prepare for the visits to European businesses and corporations that make up the International Study Tour.

The wheels were set in motion early in 2008, with Jean-Pierre and Jacqueline organising an interesting and diverse schedule, confirming dates and visits for the program.  The 40 students participating in the program gathered for an Information Session in October to hear about the itinerary and the schedule of visits that lay ahead.  Mr Leo Adam, the Managing Director of Holidays on Location, the travel organiser, advised students on the itinerary, the destinations and offered travel advice.  The group then gathered for a barbecue and enjoyed the opportunity to get to know one another and find out more about their journey.
The International Study Tour departs Melbourne on Monday 12th January for Singapore.  Then it will be on to Rome where they will officially commence their study program.
