The department is committed to producing high quality and impact research that has an influence in the academic community and is relevant to industry.
The department has a vibrant research culture with regular research seminars and workshops. It offers supervision in its PhD program across accounting and finance topics with over 50 students currently enrolled. The department aims to produce research of quality, relevance and impact by:
- improving success rates in competitive research grants, including the Australian Research Council (ARC) schemes and industry sources;
- supporting and encouraging high quality publications
- providing comprehensive research support structures and resources
- subscribing to a full range of financial databases
- connecting with industry to drive applied and relevant research
