The Fifth Asia/Pacific Research Symposium on Accounting Information Systems was hosted by the Department of Accounting and Finance at the Caulfield Campus on Tuesday 30th June 2009. The program included a Keynote Address by Professor Colin Ferguson from the University of Melbourne; 4 complete papers; 2 research-in-progress papers; and an Editors’ Panel comprising Editors and Associate Editors from Advances in Accounting Behavioural Research, Journal of Information Systems, and the International Journal of Accounting Information Systems. Attendees at the Symposium were from Australia, New Zealand the United States.

The symposium raised awareness of the Accounting Information Systems group at Monash and provided us with an opportunity to promote and enhance the strength of our discipline. As co-chair Carla would like to thank Adrian D’Souza for his support, which enabled the event to run very smoothly. It was appreciated by all who attended.
