Professor Keryn Chalmers
BCom Melb PhD University of Tasmania
Keryn Chalmers joined Monash University in 2003. For fifteen years prior to this she was with the School of Accounting and Finance at Victoria University; Keryn has also held teaching positions at The University of Melbourne. Her teaching responsibilities have primarily been in financial accounting and financial analysis. She is an active researcher and research supervisor in the financial accounting and financial reporting area, specifically in relation to accounting policy and disclosure choices of management, and has a number of refereed journal articles.
Keryn is a member of CPA Australia, a Fellow of the Securities Institute of Australia and active in the education programs of these professional bodies.

Financial accounting and financial reporting matters including: examining firms' discretionary accounting policies, accounting valuation methods, and disclosure choices; the impact of accounting regulation on firm value; executive remuneration and corporate governance. |
