Associate Professor Michael Dempsey
BA, MSc, MEng, MBA, PhD University of Wales
Michael Dempsey joined Monash University in 2006. Prior to this he was with Griffith University, having previously been at Leeds University, UK. He also has many years experience working for the petroleum exploration industry, in the Middle East, Egypt, Aberdeen and London. His teaching responsibilities have primarily been in corporate and investment finance, international finance, derivatives and financial engineering. He is an active researcher and research supervisor in the area of financial markets and the formation of asset prices, in which he has published and refereed journal articles.
