Viet joined the Department as a lecturer in Finance in March 2008 and obtained his PhD in October 2008. Prior to that, he completed a Bachelor of Business with Honours from Monash University.

Viet's research areas include alternative investment funds, market microstructure and behavioural finance. He has published in a number of internationally refereed journals including Journal of Multinational Financial Management and Applied Financial Economics
