Bereket Redda

PhD Groningen, MSc Groningen, BA the University of Asmara

Dr Bereket Redda received both his PhD in 2007 and his MSc in 1997 from the University of Groningen, the Netherlands.  Bereket got his BA degree in 1994 in Accounting from the University of Asmara, Eritrea.
He has worked as a lecturer of accounting, teaching Management Accounting, Cost Accounting and Management Control Systems, and has also supervised research of senior students at the University of Asmara since 1994.  Prior to joining Monash, Dr Redda's roles included course and curriculum development, conducting training, student advising and he was also a member of different committees.  Bereket had also temporarily worked at the University of Groningen for two months in 2007 as an academic assistant.

Research:

Change in management accounting and control practices, role of accounting controls on firm performance, the link between management control and firm strategy, the design of costing systems, and performance measurement in organizations.
