Professor Donald Stokes
PhD (AGSM), M Com, B Com (Hons) (Newcastle)
Professor Donald Stokes has a background in applied and commercial research based in the higher education sector in Australia, the United States and Canada. He has publications in leading accounting journals including The Journal of Accounting Research, The Accounting Review, The Journal of Accounting and Economics and Contemporary Accounting Research and serves on the editorial boards of a number of international research journals. Professor Stokes has over two decades of experience as a researcher, educator, manager and independent consultant including university roles as Dean, Associate Dean Research, Head of School and Deputy Head of School. Donald has served on the Australian Auditing and Assurance Standards Board, the Consultative Group to the Australian Accounting Standards Board and as President of the Accounting Association of Australia and New Zealand.
