George Tanewski

Dr Tanewski joined the Department of Accounting and Finance in 1996 and is now an Associate Professor in Financial Accounting.  George completed his PhD in 1995 at Monash University and joined the department as a research fellow working on research projects involving family owned and/or controlled firms.  Over the years George has published a number of papers that explain agency problems in family firms.  In addition, George is involved in research that tries to understand the benefits small business owners receive by using external accountants as business advisors.
