Bachelor of AccountingThe Bachelor of Accounting is a work-integrated learning education program and is unique to the Faculty of Business and Economics at the Clayton campus of Monash University. It offers accelerated learning, as the 20 units and 26 weeks of work experience are completed in three years. Bachelor of Accounting students gain work experience with some of the leading business organisations in Australia, and all students receive an industry-sponsored scholarship worth $8000 per annum in their second and third year of study. To be accepted into the program, students must be currently completing VCE (or equivalent), have a high ENTER score and undertake an interview. Intake to the program is small, with about fifteen to twenty students securing a placement each year. Professional recognitionThe Bachelor of Accounting meets the academic requirements for entry to the CA program of The Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia (ICAA), for associate membership of CPA Australia and for senior associate membership of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia (FINSIA). Students are advised to note the specific subject requirements of each of these professional bodies, and to view an explanation of each recognition. |
