School Enhancement Program
VCE students sometimes wish to start their accounting tertiary studies while they are still at school.
Why do this?
- They want to enhance their knowledge of accounting to assist them with their understanding of
VCE Accounting. The evidence of the last 6 years suggests that enhancement studies students
score very high marks in their VCE Accounting studies.
- They want to enhance their Enter score. The enhancement subject counts as a sixth VCE subject
and for those that successfully pass 4, 5 or 5.5 is added to the total marks used to calculate the
Enter score.
- They want to make a start at tertiary education early, i.e. get a feel for what it is like. Enhancement
Accounting students undertake the same course as full-time university students and some of the
classes are actually held at Monash.
Who, Where and When?
- Classes are taught by selected VCE teachers who have an excellent understanding of accounting.
- Classes are usually around 10 - 12 but sometimes smaller.
- Classes are held once a week after school for 2 hours at an enhancement studies centre.
