Irene has more than 25 years experience in marketing, marketing communication and marketing education. She worked in the dairy industry in the UK with responsiblility for a range of dairy products with a communication budget worth several million pounds. She has also managed an advertising agency. Irene has been awarded the Vice-Chancellors Award for Excellence in Team Based Educational Development (2000)and the Business/Higher Education Round Table Award for Outstanding Achievement in Collaboration (2001). Irene is Deputy Head of Department and Director of Teaching. Irene has an interest in on-line education. She has developed an interactive cdrom for integrated marketing communication.

Irene's research interests are in marketing education, multidisciplinary teams and all aspects of integrated marketing communication.
