Elections for Senior Lecturer Promotions Committee 2009Nominations are now invited from eligible academic staff to fill two vacancies on the Senior Lecturer Promotions Committee. Eligibility and term of officeAcademic staff - Nominators must be ranked at and above Assistant Lecturer (not less than 0.4 fraction of full time). Nominees must be ranked at least at the level of Senior Lecturer. The roll of electors shall be that existing on 31 March 2009. The term of office commences on 1 July 2009, for a term of three years. Outgoing members may be re-nominated. Nominees must be available to attend the meeting of the Senior Lecturer Promotions Committee on Tuesday 15 September and Wednesday 16 September 2009. Please note that all promotion committee members, with the exception of the external member, will be required to undertake the equal opportunity (EO) online training prior to the commencement of the first committee meeting.
Nomination and election processNominations The appropriate form must be lodged with the Returning Officer by 12 noon on Monday 4 May. Each candidate may supply with the nomination a statement containing not more than 250 words and figures which may include the following: full name; academic qualifications, honours and distinctions; positions or offices held and when in the course of employment or profession; positions or offices held and when with any public bodies, clubs, institutions; any other information the candidate considers to be relevant.
