Monash Achievement Award policy

Purpose

To provide information on the standard required for students wishing to apply for a Monash Achievement Award.

Scope

This policy applies to all Australian citizens, New Zealand citizens, or holders of an Australian permanent resident visa who are continuing Monash University undergraduate students enrolled in a domestic full-fee place in the Faculty of Business & Economics.

Policy Statement

To roll over to a HECS place from a full-fee place, a student will be required to have completed a minimum of 8 units (48 credit points), of which 6 units (36 credit points) must have been completed in the Faculty of Business and Economics, and must have achieved a minimum average mark of 65% in the Faculty units.  No quota will apply.

No application is necessary. All domestic undergraduate fee-liable students will be assessed when load is available. This will normally be in December/January after the release of semester 2 results. Those who meet the faculty selection criteria will be made an offer to transfer to a HECS place commencing from the beginning of semester one following the award offer; it does not apply to summer semester. Mid-year commencement will be offered only in exceptional circumstances that must include HECS load being available.
