Purpose
|
To inform chief examiners and academic staff of the timelines and processes for submitting students’ results.

Scope
|
This policy applies to all chief examiners, academic staff, and secretaries of Boards of Examiners in the Faculty of Business & Economics.
|

Policy Statement
|
Results shall normally be submitted electronically to the Examinations Branch of the University. On the basis of the results returned by Departments, the Secretary of the Board of Examiners shall produce the examinations register for the Board. Amendments to results after the Board are authorised by the Chief Examiner for the unit and relevant Head of Department as the Dean's nominee.
Duties of the Secretary to the Board of Examiners
Prepare register for Board of Examiners meeting;

Forward the examination register to each Chief Examiner for checking as early as possible and no later than the day prior to the Board of Examiners meeting;

Provide to members of the Board a schedule of special consideration applications and action taken, including a list of students for whom a special examination has been recommended;

Identify potential candidates for supplementary examinations, NP, or unsatisfactory progress;

Provide other reports as required.
