Australian Learning and Teaching Council Awards for Australian University Teaching

The Australian Learning and Teaching Council  is responsible for the coordination of the Australian Awards for University Teaching (formerly known as the Carrick Awards).

The Awards Scheme comprises five Award programs recognising teaching excellence and outstanding contributions for student learning:

  • Citations for Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning
  • Awards for Programs that Enhance Learning
  • Awards for Teaching Excellence
  • Prime Minister's Award for the Australian University Teacher of the Year
  • Career Achievement Award

 The ALTC also provided funding for Award recipients to present at forums and conferences.

Peter Wagstaff

Peter Wagstaff receives Carrick Citation
Peter Wagstaff from the Department of Marketing, was honoured with a Carrick citation in July 2007.

Nell Kimberley

Nell wins Carrick Awards
Nell Kimberley from the Department of Management was a Citation Awards Winner in the 2006 Carrick Awards.

Peter Reed

Vice-Chancellor's Awards for Distinguished Teaching
Nell Kimberley and Peter Reed were awarded this prestigious award for 2005.
