Anne O'Rourke

Anne joined the department in 2006 from the Department of Management, where she was a research fellow and tutor.

Before joining Monash, Anne worked as an associate to a senior member of the AAT and as a legal research officer at the Consumer Law Centre of Victoria.

Research

Her research interests include international law, employment law and human rights, and she teaches in the area of employment law and corporations law.

She is currently undertaking a PhD at Monash, looking at the interaction between trade, human rights and labour law at the international level.

Anne is also vice-president of Liberty Victoria - the Victorian Council of Civil Liberties Inc. In that role, she regularly appears before senate committees and speaks at pubic forums and on radio commenting on topics such as torture, compliance with international conventions, anti-terror legislation and corporate social responsibility.
