Catrina joined the department in 2007 and teaches in commercial law.
Following admission into legal practice Catrina tutored in commercial and corporations law at the University of Melbourne. She subsequently spent 13 years in corporate legal practice working for the Royal Automobile Club of Victoria (RACV) Ltd. and the Victorian Employers' Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VECCI). She has also completed examinations to qualify as an affiliate/ diploma holder of the Australian Insurance Institute and as a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Company Secretaries in Australia Ltd.
Catrina has published numerous articles and practice notes in the Law Institute Journal. She has also served on a number of boards and committees including RACV Superannuation Custodian Company Limited, RACV Employees' Credit Union Co-operative Limited, Chartered Institute of Company Secretaries in Australia Ltd. - Victorian Branch State Council, Executive Committee -Corporate Lawyers Association of Victoria, Standards Australia Technical Committee- Motor Vehicle Sale Contracts, Insurance Council of Australia-Legal Committee, National Advisory Council on Consumer Affairs and as Chair of the Law Institute of Victoria's Road Trauma Committee.
Catrina's research interests include legal education and commercial law with a particular emphasis on consumer protection.
