Chenxia Shi

Chenxia joined the department in 2004. She was previously a research officer for a large ARC research project at the Centre for International Corporate Governance Research at Victoria University. She worked in the People’s Procuratorate in China before coming to Australia as a visiting scholar at the Law School, University of Sydney in 2000.
Chenxia has published on a range of subjects in good quality international and Australian refereed journals, and has made presentations at international conferences and seminars.
She was a member of a research team that has been awarded "Victoria University 2005 Vice Chancellor's Citation for Excellence in Research" in the category of Research Team (the DEST-funded research project was conducted by the research team from late 2003 to late 2004).
In 2006 Chenxia was selected by the Columbia Law School in a writing Competition (the World Wide Junior Corporate Scholar Forum) and was invited to present her paper at a conference held by Columbia Law School in New York in March 2007.
Teaching
Chenxia teaches Commercial Law, Corporations Law and Trusts, Australian Company Law, Comparative Corporate Law in undergraduate and graduate programs.
