Prior to joining Monash University in 2004, Carolyn gained extensive experience in the practice of employment law and equal opportunity law over a period of 10 years. This included two years as a Senior Associate at a national law firm. Carolyn continues to practise law as a Consultant to a suburban law firm.
Teaching
Carolyn lectures in the postgraduate units Law of Employment and Human Resource Management Law. Carolyn is also the Department's co-ordinator of sessional staff.
Research
In her PhD studies, Carolyn is exploring the key objectives of the Australian legal framework relating to workplace agreements, and determining whether agreement outcomes are consistent with these objectives.

Grants and Awards
In 2004 and 2005, Carolyn won the Dean's Award for Excellence in Teaching.
In 2005, Carolyn received a grant from the Innovations in Teaching fund for the project "Interactive Hypothetical in Workplace Law"; In 2007, Carolyn received two further grants for innovative projects in workplace law.
