Elsa Singam

Elsa joined Monash University Malaysia in 2001 as a lecturer in business law in the School of Business and Information Technology.

Elsa's previous appointment was as a senior lecturer in law in the Business Department at the HELP Institute from 1998, where she taught commercial law subjects on behalf of overseas universities such as Charles Sturt University, USQ and the University of London. She served one term as the Head of Department at the HELP Institute.

Before this, she was an advocate and solicitor with the High Court of Malaya in Kuala Lumpur for two years, practising in banking litigation, winding up of companies and probate and administration.

Elsa is a graduate of the University of Malaya Law School. In her student days, she was a member of the University of Malaya team in the Philip C Jessup International Mooting Competition in Chicago in 1989.
