Teaching

Janine Pascoe is a senior lecturer and teaches in company law, business law and finance law in both undergraduate and postgraduate programs.

Research

Her major research interests are in company law, particular directors' duties and banking law.

She has a special interest in the law relating to guarantees, which was the subject of her staff PhD, completed in 2004.Her research in this area has been recognised by the High Court of Australia, the New South Wales Law Reform Commission and in many scholarly articles.

Janine has published widely in various referred law journals and has delivered conference papers and seminars in Australia and overseas as well as contributing chapters to two books in the area of banking law. Janine has travelled regularly to Malaysia, including periods as a visiting scholar at the Malaysia Campus of Monash University.

She has co-authored a book and published several international journal articles on Malaysian company law.

This paper won a 'highly commended' award as the runner up for the best paper prize at the above mention conference.
