Rhett joined the department after having taught part-time at the Central Queensland University Melbourne campus, and worked part-time in legal practice specialising in banking.
Teaching
Rhett has lectured previously with La Trobe University and Central Queensland University and taught Occupational Health and Safety compliance at Holmesglen TAFE. He has in years gone by been a resident tutor at Ormond College, Melbourne University in "Principles of Business Law" and "Corporations Law". Rhett has also had extensive experience in teaching business law to international students through Monash College 2004 - 2007.
Rhett teaches in the areas of undergraduate and graduate commercial law and banking law and has taught in the MBA program. He has also taught business law in the Hong Kong program.

Research activity

Rhett is currently undertaking a PHD in the cross disciplinary area of law and economics with specific reference to Constitutional Law.

Rhett is also currently researching and writing a text on the law and economics of water.
