Expected Costs

If you are planning to participate in the Prato program, the following list of costs for 2007/08 may  assist you with budgeting.

Flight

Flights ranged from about $2200. Students should contact their own travel agent to discuss flights.  STA Travel have offices at Clayton and Caulfield campuses.

Insurance

Ranged from $350 to $530. Students are advised to obtain quotes online - as these can often be much cheaper than through a travel agent.

Accommodation

Calamai Riverside Apartments offer beds on a multishare basis in brand new apartments for approx $40 a day. For more information and bookings go to their website.

Daily Expenses

Food

Ranges between $150-450 per week.
Cooking at home: about $25 per day
Dinner out: $40-45
Lunch out: $14-18

Travelling

Daily travel between Florence and Prato $5, or $18 per week.

Most train trips around Northern Italy cost: $85.
$50 to Venice.
$240 flight to Paris.

Miscellaneous

Ranged between $20 to $40 per day.
