Good Governance and Accountability in Non-Profit and Social Enterprises

You will consider the distinct nature of the not for profit (NFP) sector and find out how organisations can improve their governance and accountability:

  • learn how the legal system encourages transparency and accountability
  • understand the different legal structures available to NFP organisations
  • discuss the role of the government regulation compared with private initiatives in good governance
  • identify the role that boards or committees play in setting strategy, reducing exposure to legal risks and encouraging organisational learning
