Sustainable investment: passing fad, or here to stay?

Sustainable investment, or socially responsible investment (SRI), has become an issue of international significance with the recent launch of the United Nations Principles of Responsible Investment.
In Australia, SRI has increasingly captured the attention of superannuation fund managers and other investors, with the Ethical Investments Association reporting 70% growth in SRI activity between 2004 and 2005.
