Accounting has been taught at Monash University since its early beginnings, with the department set up in 1963. Newly established in 2014, the Department of Banking and Finance has its roots in the David Syme School of Banking and Finance. The department is a leader in the advancement of knowledge in banking and finance and preparation of future business leaders, banking and finance professionals and academics. The Department of Marketing is one of the largest providers of tertiary level marketing education in Australia with over 40 full-time academic teaching and research staff.
