Retail Executive Development
15-19 September 2008

In a constantly changing and competitive retail world, it is essential for senior management to have the knowledge and skills to make stronger contributions to the development and success of their business plans and initiatives.
The new 5-day Retail Executive Development program is designed for experienced store or department managers, group, area or multiple site managers, managers in support office roles including HR, logistics, merchandise, operations, finance, Administration, IT and fast-track graduates who have progressed within the organisation to take on more strategic and operational responsibilities.
The program provides an overview of key consumer and retail trends, introduces principles of effective retailing, explores financial frameworks and key profitability measures, and provides perspectives on business culture and leadership effectiveness.
In addition, the Retail Executive Development Program aims to provide the next level by giving participants a wider understanding of the key trends and best practice within the retail and consumer environments, discusses the key pre-requisites and success factors for the implementation of successful strategic plans, provides education and insight in relation to effective strategic financial analysis and business culture, and gives a unique and personal insight into each participant’s own leadership, management, motivation and communication strengths, using the Strength Deployment Inventory (SDI)®.
