About the ACRS
The Australian Centre for Retail Studies (ACRS) is an independent retail and shopper research centre based within the Department of Marketing in the Faculty of Business and Economics at Monash University.
The ACRS provides a range of research and consulting services to the private sector, industry associations and government clients, with a particular emphasis on retail and shopper focused research.
Originally established in 1990, the ACRS has a long history of working with world leaders in retail and shopper research on a range of projects. Today, the ACRS is one of Australia's leading specialist research centres with the capability to conduct the following streams of research:

- Syndicated Research
- Tracking Research
- Behavioural Research Lab
- Commercial Research Reports (Industry research reports)
The Department of Marketing
The Department of Marketing at Monash University has a focus on excellence in research. The department is ranked number one in Australia with respect to contributions to the International Journal of Advertising over the past 15 years, and eighth in the world for the number of publications on Marketing Communications Research (tied with London Business School and Pennsylvania State).
