He has managed the development of the AQoL 2 Instrument, the vision related VisQoL Instrument (for the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital) and is currently overseeing the development of a Mental Health Related QoL Measure: the PsyQoL Instrument.
Angelo has brought an expert understanding of human dynamics and communication skills to interviewer recruiting, training and management, as well as interaction with participants in studies. He is interested in how the quality of interviewing affects the validity and quality of data collected.
He has wide experience in the creation and facilitation of personal and professional development courses, as well as Stanford based Arthritis Self-Management courses.
He is also qualified in work place training and has streamlined the training of interviewers for Time Trade Off and Person Trade Off interviews.
Angelo is currently enrolled in the Postgraduate Diploma in Health Economics.
Prior to his life at Monash, Angelo first trained as a civil engineer, and then as a clinical therapist in private practice, spending 20 years in clinical consultations with people of all walks of life. He went on to complete a Masters Degree in Counselling and Human Services from La Trobe University.
