The Department of Econometrics & Business
Statistics is running a one-day Workshop on Bayesian Econometrics on July
18. The workshop will be held at the State Library of Victoria, and features
presentations by John Geweke, Gary Koop, Dale Poirier, Robert Kohn, and
Herman van Dijk.

Associate Professor Xueyan Zhao was
awarded one of the two 2006 Dean’s Awards for Excellence in Research by
an Early Career Researcher. These awards are designed to
recognise, reward and encourage excellent early career
researchers within the faculty.
