Special Lectures in Econometrics
A series of workshops on simulation and computational methods in econometrics and statistics will be held between April and November 2012. Speakers include Russell Davidson (McGill), Jan Kiviet (Amsterdam), Christian Robert (CREST) and John Geweke (UTS).
HP Innovation Research Award
Professor Rob Hyndman has received an HP Innovation Research Program award. Rob is one of about 60 professors from around the world to receive the award.
Actuarial Program accreditation
Accreditation of the Department's actuarial studies program has been granted
by the Institute of Actuaries of Australia. This means that automatic exemptions
apply for sufficient grades in relevant Monash units taken from 2009 onwards.
