Graduate Program — OverviewA wide range of graduate programs are offered in the Faculty of Business and Economics, and these are mirrored by the programs offered within the Department. There are three main (though not necessarily mutually exclusive) categories, designed for students with different backgrounds and aspirations:
Cumulative specialist discipline degreesHonours and masters degrees, and the PhD These degrees extend and develop knowledge of a particular discipline to an advanced level. Masters degrees are available to candidates with an honours degree or an equivalent postgraduate diploma in the proposed area of study, and involve a mixture of advanced course work and the preparation of a major or minor thesis. The PhD is a research based degree available to those who already have an advanced honours and/or masters qualification. Further information:

They build upon the knowledge base already gained by developing specialist knowledge in the same, related, and sometimes disparate, discipline areas. Postgraduate diplomas are available to candidates with a pass degree in the relevant discipline. Further information:
Professionally-orientated degreesExecutive certificates, graduate certificates, graduate diplomas These degrees are aimed at providing the necessary skills for improving graduates' capacity in a wide range of business and government positions and at developing professional expertise.
