Courses, Degrees and UnitsUndergraduate coursesThe Department of Econometrics and Business Statistics focuses on the teaching of quantitative methods for solving problems in business, economics, and finance. Our courses are offered on almost all campuses of the University, and include units in time series analysis, financial econometrics, microeconometrics, and business modelling. All Bachelors degrees involve involve three years full-time study, with a fourth year honours level available for students intending to practice as professional econometricians or considering enrolling in a research degree. Graduate and Postgraduate programsAt the postgraduate level the Department offers degrees ranging from Graduate Diplomas, to the coursework-based Masters of Applied Econometrics, to the research degrees: Master of Philosophy (MPhil) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD).
