Honorary Associate Professor Ian Wills

Ian is honorary associate professor in the department. He retired in 2006, after many years teaching in the economics and commerce and graduate environmental science programs.  His recent research has centred on the economics of transaction costs and institutions and information problems in implementing sustainability. Ian is the author of two editions of the highly-regarded textbook, Economics and the Environment: a Signalling and Incentives Approach. In early 2008 he was elected Distinguished Fellow of the Australian Agricultural and Resource Economics Society.
