Enhancing the Classroom Experience

Planning Seminars and Tutorials

Facilitator: Dr Glenda Crosling (Faculty of Business and Economics)

Tuesday, 29 July, Caulfield, Theatre HB.40, Building H (basement)
Thursday, 31 July, Clayton, Theatre M2, Building 13A

It is increasingly important in higher education to teach in student-centered rather than teacher-focussed ways, reflecting a movement away from "one-way" transmission of information to more interactive and active learning approaches.  In this session, various methods to help students learn in classes will be explored and parcitipants will have experience in planning seminars that are varied, interactive and involve students in active learning.
