Academic Governance Unit

The Academic Governance Unit (AGU) supports the development and implementation of the academic policies, procedures and practices required for effective and efficient academic administration and allows the Faculty to meet the prudential requirements of good governance. The Unit provides high quality advice and high level Secretariat Services to the Dean and the Faculty's principal academic decision-making committees.

Key services include:

• support for academic decision-making;
• information and administrative support to Committee members;
• policy and information management;
• servicing committees, working parties and reviews;
• administration of elections to University and Faculty Committees; and
• statutory compliance.

The AGU works in partnership with the Departments and the Faculty Office to ensure smooth transition and communication of new and amended policies, courses and units from the development phase to Faculty Board approval.  Delivering exceptional customer service is our primary goal, therefore we have developed a website focused on your needs.  If you have any suggestions on how we can improve our service or website, please contact us.
