Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta (IIM-C) was established in 1961 and became the first institute of management for post-graduate studies and research in management. IIM-C is one of the three top business schools in India. It is well known worldwide by leading companies and recruitment firms, who clamour to attract its talented MBA Graduates.
In pursuit of common interests in teaching and research, IIM-C and the Faculty of Business and Economics, Monash University have agreed to develop program to be achieved through the exchange of postgraduate students, faculty members and academic information as well as joint business and industry management programs.
Students enrolled in IIM-C’s Executive Master of Business Administration (MBA) undertook an internship of about five weeks in Melbourne. The students received an education on global business from Monash academics and completed an internship at a leading Australian company of their choice.
Twelve students work on consultant projects for four major Australian Companies that the faculty has arranged to sponsor this program including ANZ, NAB and Fosters.
