Important informationThe nature of a new enterprise
The competition is aimed at new venture start-ups seeking outside equity capital. These new ventures may be at the start-up or early growth phase. They do not include franchises, licensing agreements for distribution in a different geographical area, or spin-outs from existing companies. Intellectual propertyThe members of the new venture team retain all rights to the business plan they submit to the competition concerning its use at all times prior to and following the competition. ConfidentialityThe pitching event for the competition final, where each team presents their business plan to a panel of adjudicators, is open to the public. The adjudicators, reviewers and all staff associated with the competition will not be required to sign a non-disclosure or confidentiality statement for any participating team. RulesEligibility rules for MNEC are based on the official rules stipulated for the Moot Corp competition.PrizesThe winning team will receive a prize of $10,000 plus travel and accommodation for all team members to represent Monash University at the John Heine Entrepreneurial Challenge hosted by Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane. |
