Graduate School of Business Mentoring Program

Could you benefit from a Mentor’s Guidance?

The GSB is currently calling for expressions of interest from mentees to be part of the 2008 GSB Mentoring Program.

Students who are offered a place in this program, will be individually matched with a mentor appropriate to their professional goals, academic pursuits and/or interests, for a three month mentoring relationship. The expectation is that the mentee will meet with the chosen mentor 3 times over this period.

Mentors are Monash graduates who have a breadth of knowledge and experience across a variety of sectors, and are interested in giving back to the Monash University community.  As volunteers their time and expertise is provided free of charge. Over a three month period, these mentors will provide guidance, support and counsel in line with your personal objectives.

Mentoring is…

  • a process that facilitates personal and professional growth
  • a chance to learn from another’s wisdom and experience
  • an offer of support, advice and counsel
  • a free service provided by the GSB and MAAI

What previous mentees have said:

“I would definitely recommend this program to other students. It is a wonderful opportunity to clarify your goals and expectations for the first steps after graduation”

“It was fantastic to get unbiased and objective feedback from a professional regarding your career path.  The opportunity to establish new contacts and networks via your mentor is extremely valuable.  I really enjoyed the program and wish it could have been longer!!  Three months just fly…”

Do You…

Need clarity in defining the right career path for you? Want strategies on how to develop your career?  Think you would benefit from strategic networking?  Want to know more about your future workplace?

If you answered yes to any of these questions then you should apply for this program.
