QIK 2011 Welcome  Reception – Tuesday 15 February 7 – 9pm
Sunway Resort Hotel & Spa (conference venue) - Bahamas Level 12
The welcome reception will bring together colleagues from near and far. Enjoy the wonderful array of hot and cold canapés followed by some delicious desserts. The occasion is informal to allow a relaxed atmosphere for networking with fellow colleagues and meeting newcomers to the QIK network.

Formal Conference Dinner -  Wednesday 16 February 7pm onward
Sunway Resort Hotel & Spa (conference venue) – Bahamas Level 12
You will enjoy a Traditional Chinese Dinner Banquet with some wonderful evening entertainment. We look forward to seeing you at this exciting social function. 

Casual Conference Dinner – Thursday 17 February 6.30 – 9.30pm
Borneo Rainforest Cafe & the Ruai Supper Club
The cafe itself is open-air, spacious and rustic all in one. The soothing sounds of the waterfall and lush greenery provide the perfect backdrop to enjoy authentic local dishes. Following the informal dinner celebrations, some may wish to move on to the Ruai Supper club and dance the night away to a live band with in-house DJ.

Tours – Friday 18 February at 2.00pm
Two tours are available with pick - up point in the foyer of the Sunway Resort Hotel & Spa from1.30 pm.  Participants should be back at the hotel between 5.00 and 6.00 pm. 
How do I register? Tour sheets will be available on the message board at the Hotel registration area.  We have been advised that the ACGT tour can only accommodate a total of 25 participants.

Tour 1 – ACGT (Genting Plantations) – Friday 18 February
You will arrive at the ACGT Laboratories and begin with the Corporate Overview by Derrik Khoo Sin Huat, Chief Executive Officer, ACGT. This will be followed by a scientific presentation by Dr Cheah Suan Choo, Chief Scientific Officer, ACGT You will then be taken on the laboratory tour which will cover Sequencing Pipeline Briefing, Bioinformatics Programme and High Performance Computing Cluster. To conclude the tour you will have the chance to ask questions whilst partaking in refreshments.

Tour 2 – Yakult  – Friday 18 February
You will arrive at the Yakult Factory and begin with a briefing and video show, followed by a tour of production. This will be followed by sampling session which includes questions and answer time.
