Overview
Successful infrastructure development requires a strategic approach to planning and management. This has become even more important in the current highly competitive and uncertain environment in which governments and public and private enterprises face economic, environmental and social pressures. The effective planning and management of our scarce resources (e.g. materials, technology and people) in a sustainable manner presents us with numerous challenges and opportunities.
This two-day summit organised by the Department of Management, Monash University (Australia) and supported by the Ministry of Public Works, addresses a number of issues relating to managing infrastructure projects in a sustainable manner. It addresses the challenges and opportunities relating to sustainable planning, development and management of major infrastructure projects.
A number of international and local experts will make presentations on a range of topic areas. Participants will have the opportunity to discuss in detail issues facing their organisations and develop approaches for sustainable infrastructure development.
