Project Details: This study is one of four examining disadvantaged groups in the public sector with respect to pay, career progression, education and training and work and family. The project involves analysis of the Victorian Public Sector 2004 Census data and a literature review of innovative policy in other states and countries. The paper will be presented to a series of roundtables consisting of HR experts, academics and representatives from Government. The workshops are forums where policy options will be debated before final recommendations are presented by the authors to Government for action.
