Quamrul Alam
Dr. Quamrul Alam’s research interests include: international public administration; public-private partnership; e-governance, internationalisation of Australian business; globalization, FDI, and strategic management issues. He has published extensively on public management, public-private partnerships, and international business and supply chain management.

Mary Anderson
Mary Anderson is chair of the department’s Education Committee and has a special interest in teaching within higher education.

Nicholas Beaumont
Dr Nicholas Beaumont’s expertise is in the area of information management and operations research. He has been successful in securing grants from the ARC and from various Monash schemes. He is a member of the editorial board of the Journal of Operations Management.

Richard Cooney
Dr Richard Cooney teaches quality and innovation management and business process reengineering. He is currently undertaking research on the use of teamwork for business process innovation. Richard has consulting experience in the automotive industry and is a co-convenor of the International Research Conference on Quality, Innovation and Knowledge.

Lawrence Dooley
Dr. Lawrie Dooley has extensive research and teaching experience in Agribusiness including executive development programs in leadership and board governance. Recent research studies have included international benchmarking of Australian agribusiness value chains in the dairy, wine, grain, wool, horticulture and meat sectors.  Recent research grants have been for agribusiness value adding, inter-organisational leadership in agri-food supply chains and supply chain management in the wool industry.

Andrew O’Loughlin
Dr Andrew O’Loughlin recently joined Monash having previously held positions at the University of Surrey, Cranfield University and Lincoln University. His area of expertise is operations strategy, innovation management and teamwork. He is currently developing a major research project examining the responsiveness of organizations to the impact of innovation on the supply chain.

Peter O’Neil
Dr. Peter O’Neill recently joined Monash from RMIT University. His research interests are in business strategy - particularly issues surrounding growth, innovation, internationalisation and performance evaluation. Peter also has an interest in decision making and cognitive behaviour, business process management, organisational change and in management information systems such as ERP. Peter has published in international journals in production, operations and innovation management, particularly in the manufacturing sector.

Daniel Prajogo
Dr. Daniel Prajogo’s area of expertise is quality, operations and innovation management and he has been successful in obtaining funding from a number of Monash schemes for research projects in these areas.

Amrik Sohal
Professor Amrik Sohal is the research group leader. He is an internationally recognized academic. In 2004 he received the Excellence in Research Award from the International Association for Management of Technology and in 2001 he received the Vice-Chancellor’s Award for Postgraduate Supervision. He is a founding member of the Global Manufacturing Research Group and currently one of its Vice-Presidents. He established the Asia-Pacific Journal of Quality Management in 1992, the Quality Management Research Unit in 1991 and the Monash Manufacturing Roundtable in 1992.

Professor Sohal is currently a member of the editorial board of a number of international journals including the Journal of Operations Management, International Journal of Physical Distribution & Logistics Management, Total Quality Management & Business Excellence, International Journal of Business Performance Management and the International Journal of Service Industry Management.
