Mission

ASCMRU aims to:

  • identify major trends and emerging research issues in its areas of teaching and research interest
  • explore and research the impact and current status of related policies of governments and international bodies
  • identify ways in which ASCMRU can contribute to the betterment of humankind, especially citizens of poorer nations
  • develop ways in which the teaching of management practices related to supply chains and firm clusters can be integrated into tertiary education
  • engage practitioners and academics and practitioners in discussion of issues related to the work of the unit

The specific aims of the research unit are:

  • To conduct research that has practical relevance to industry identify best practice, links between practice and performance, implementation strategies new technologies
  • To conduct high quality research leading to academic and other publication
  • To conduct research in ways that contribute to our aims and are sustainable for Australian Supply Chain Management Research Unit researchers
  • To facilitate linkages between the Department of Management and other organisations (industry, government, non-profit organisations, and other universities)
