Leadership Research Group
The Leadership Research Group, led by Professor James Sarros, is a major research authority on Australian leadership. Professor Sarros and his colleagues have partnered with private and not for profit organisations domestically and internationally on projects examining leadership characteristics of the Australian workplace, transformational leadership, positive leadership, servant leadership, authentic leadership, succession management and the influence of leadership on emotional climate, innovation, and psychological capital. The group has an impressive national and international research profile, having published in journals such as Leadership Quarterly, Academy of Management Review, Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Business and Psychology, British Journal of Management, and Journal of Business Ethics as well as in texts by major commercial publishers. The LRG is engaged in a number of Australian Research Council research projects with domestic and international companies and researchers, and continues to promote the teaching and research of leadership through its cohort of doctoral students and its industry and government engagements.
