Organisation Studies

SEIRnet is proud to have among its members some of the leading scholars in organisation studies including the areas of organisational behaviour, organisational change, organisational learning, organisational performance, organisational values, the philosophy of management, and the interrelationship between organisations and political, cultural and geographical factors.  The wide range of disciplinary expertise and industry experience represented by the group ensures we bring to our partnerships leading edge and grounded research.  Examples of recent contributions SEIRnet has made in this area include the positive work environments initiative with the State Services Authority, co-development with Rio Tinto Iron Ore of an organisational and community development approach to facilitating Aboriginal economic development, contributions to employee assistance programmes and workplace counselling, improving organisational systems and practices relating to the contract workforce, effects of organisational policies and practices on the acculturation of immigrants, and the impact of retirement villages on communities.
