Susan Freeman

Dr. Susan Freeman is a Senior Lecturer and the Program Manager for the Master of International Business. She has a PhD in international business and international marketing, from the Faculty of Business and Economics, Monash University. Susan has extensive local and overseas teaching experience in international marketing/business and strategic management.

Her research focus and PhD supervision is smaller international businesses including early and rapidly internationalising smaller firms; entrepreneurship; emerging markets; services internationalisation; international buyer-seller relationships; international supply chain management; and culture including the concept of guanxi. Her work has appeared in the Journal of International Marketing, Journal of Services Industry Management, Supply Chain Management: An International Journal, Journal of Services Marketing, European Business Review, Journal of Arts Management, Law and Society and Journal of East-West Business, and in numerous book chapters.

 

With the advent of globalisation triggered by technological advancement, increasing competition and declining trade barriers, businesses worldwide have been facing an unprecedented level of international challenges and opportunities. The International Business Program is designed to equip students with an in-depth understanding of contemporary business and management phenomena from a global perspective. It also provides them with the proficiency and knowledge necessary to confront the challenges and exploit the opportunities in an increasingly volatile global marketplace. The Program offers a comprehensive range of international business qualifications involving specialised skills and innovative outlooks from a multi-disciplinary context.

Career opportunities include, strategy planning and analysis, strategic management, international business, export-import strategy within business and industries which have an international focus.
