I wanted to improve my career prospects and contribute to the greater efficiency and cost-effectiveness of Council's business operations.

In a political environment it is vital that you understand the political and practical imperatives of the three tiers of the government decision making processes.  This is vital to success at a senior level in both state and local govenment environments.

The Public Policy and Management course set me up to work at a senior level. I am now a better manager and have strengthened by career outcomes. I understand the political environment within which I am working and have adopted strategies to improve my management philosophy.

The monash program provides well rounded information with lots of practical experience to support the academic environment. Coursework was an excellent way to learn as it enabled practical work experience to be applied and tested.
