I decided to take the Monash Masters of Management because it provided me with a valuable tool set, regardless of what path I might decide to take into the future or what field or organisation I might decide to work with. I could see that it had benefits with both myself now and into the future. Another key aspect of the course is that it does prepare you for a wide variety of different organisational circumstances, whether that be local or international. It makes you more adaptable and lifts your capability for change out there in the marketplace.

Not only do I feel more marketable in the industry, but I've also have more choices available to me than I ever had before. I feel as if I'm in control of my career. The Organisational Change unit and the Perspectives of Leadership units in particular, illustrated to me that organisations cannot exist in a time capsule. They need to be able to deal with change as it arises in the environment and pre-empt that change, so that they can prosper into the future. Those two units in particular illustrated to me that organisations cannot adapt and won't prosper well and is inherently most valuable in the course in that improvements to leadership capabilities of people so that they can help initiate those sort of changes in organisations regardless of what field or industry they're in.
